Started observing and shooting my 35mm in 1995 in Waco, GA and at Cherokee Cowboys in Gainesville GA. To my delight, I noted the low-recoil ammo they were shooting which was something I didn’t know existed. Joined SASS and Cherokee Cowboys in 1995. Joined Doc Holiday’s Immortals in 1996. Cherokee Charlie, Gentleman James, Ms. Ellen, Hardtimes and Cherokee Dancer were so encouraging in cowboy and long range buffalo rifle shooting. I immediately fell in love with the guns, shooting, dressin’ up, traveling AND the people! Started shooting in 1995 and haven’t stopped since. Have shot with folks in CA (End of Trail), CO (Rocky Mountain Regional Raid), WY, TN, MS, GA and AL! Experienced shooting with cowboys and cowgirls from Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Holland and Italy! Met Hondo Mikell at the Alabama Ranger’s Dixie Shootout in 1998, married him in 2000 and moved from GA to the great state of AL! Joined OYS in 2000 and the rest is history! LOVE THIS SPORT, LOVE THE PEOPLE!!! LOVE Cowboy Action Shooting Life . . . it is GRAND:-)
